Certified Structural Integration Practitioner

Structural Integration is a type of bodywork that focuses on releasing restrictions in the connective tissue or fascia.

Fascia that is restricted will pull our body systems out of alignment. Structural imbalances often translate into a wide range of symptoms perceived as discomfort, fatigue and joint problems. Through hands-on therapy, movement and education I will help bring your body back into alignment so that it can function with greater ease and efficiency.

“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but building the new.”

— Socrates

Benefits of Structural Integration

Structural Integration can benefit nearly anyone. My practice has focused on individuals recovering from surgery, athletes wanting to improve endurance or overcome an injury, and those who experience chronic, sometimes inexplicable pain.

The greatest benefits include:

  • Accelerated healing after surgery

  • Improved range of motion, circulation, and sensation

  • Enhanced body awareness

  • Improved posture and balance

  • Increased efficiency in movement

  • Ease of movement and reduced chronic pain

I’ve engaged in endurance sports for over 40 years. Since I started working with Carol ten years ago, I haven’t seen a sports doctor or needed physical therapy; I haven’t had a single break in training caused by injuries during that span. In the past 8years I have biked 45,000 miles.

Carol Menalis

Owner and Founder of Keystone Structural Integration

Throughout my career in the health and wellness field, I have been fascinated with the way different parts of the body are interconnected and the impact one piece can have on the whole. As an acute care nurse for 20 years to certifications in massage therapy and structural integration, I have spent the last several decades learning how the body moves, heals and responds to what we call pain.

Carol is curious and insightful, which makes her an incredibly effective body worker.

She is a life-long learner-always seeking knowledge that helps her get better results for her clients. Her journey, which includes being a nurse, a massage therapist, and now a highly skilled structural integration therapist, informs her work and allows her to meet her clients needs with a broad and deep tool kit. She is especially good at seeing the big picture, and how resolving limitations in one area can improve movement along the entire chain. The clients I share with Carol enjoy faster, lasting results, and I am grateful for her assistance. I highly recommend Carol to anyone who wishes to move better and with less limitation and pain.
